Summer TRI CLASS
Summer is here and it is time to get going on your 2008 triathlon training season! TBF Summer Tri Class. The 10-week class includes:
- Professional triathlon coaching
- Training packet and personalized training plans
- Swim/bike/run clinics
- Bike fit clinic
- Bike repair & maintenance seminar
Training, nutrition, body care, and race prep. Seminars
- Motivational group and brick workouts
- Open water swim lessons

- Entry into the July Tri-4-Fun or Tri-4-Real triathlon race(s)

In addition to the Summer Tri Class, TBF Training has just started the Women’s only Learn to Tri Class. This class is similar to the Summer Tri Class but a bit shorter and it’s for women only. We still have room in the Women’s Class and we are offering FREE drop-ins all week.

TBF Open Water Swim Class
The TBF Open Water Swim Class begins on Tuesday May 13 at Nimbus Flat, Lake Natoma at 6:30p. This class will meet every Tue/Fri thru August 29th for stroke development and open water swim lessons. Each session includes professional swim coaching, swim form drills, open water swim drills, a focused swim workout, and FUN! The first workout of each month will include a swim time trial. Swim strong and with confidence in the open water with a little help from TBF Training.
Not sure if the TBF Open Water Swim Class is for you? Well, we are offering the first week of Class as a FREE trial…so, come out on Tuesday (5/13) or Friday (5/16) and “test the water”! Cost: 5-Class Swim Pass for only $75! |
Mon. (5/12): Open Water Swim. Beals Pt., Folsom Lake, 6:30p. This will be another installment of open water swim lessons. We will review techniques covered in previous sessions and add some new drills/techniques. Recommended equipment: Swim suit, goggles, cap, wetsuit, water bottle, towel.

Wed. (5/14): Bike Repair/Maintenance Seminar. Bicycles Plus, Folsom, 6p. Bicycles Plus is located at 705 Gold Lake Dr near historic Folsom (916.355.8901). At this informational seminar athletes will learn all about proper bike care and maintenance. Topics will include shift adjustment, brake adjustment, cleaning, and flat tire repair. Please bring the front wheel off your bike for the “hands-on” flat repairs. If your bike is in questionable shape, go ahead and bring your bike to the shop and get it checked to see if you need a tune-up. Casual attire is recommended and be ready to get your hands dirty

Thu. (5/15): TBF Track Attack. American River College, Track, 6p. Track Attack is TBF’s run only class. Each workout includes professional run coaching, run-form drills, run-strength drills, and a focused run workout. Take your run strength and efficiency to the next level with a little help from TBF Track Attack. Please join us this week for a FREE workout! If you wish to join, it’s only $90/quarter (3-months) and includes a TBF Track Attack Tech-t! Recommended equipment: Run gear/shoes, water bottle, towel, HRM.

Fri. (5/16): Open Water Swim Class. Nimbus Flat, Lake Natoma, 6:30p. TBF is starting up its summer open water swim class. This class will meet every Tue/Fri for the next 21-weeks for stroke development and open water swim lessons. Please join us this week for a FREE trial. This is an opportunity to get an open water swim under your belt and gain confidence! The cost for the full class is $400. As a TBF Athlete, we are offering you this class for ½ off, so the price for you is only $200! In addition, we are offering 5- and 10- class punch cards.

Sat. (5/17): Bike Skills & Drills Clinic. Granite Beach, Folsom Lake, 8a. This will be the TBF road bike skills and drills clinic. At this clinic we will cover the basics of bike components and equipment. The skills session will include starts & stops, braking, cornering, pedal efficiency, road safety, and more! Following the skills session, athletes will enjoy a bike ride in the scenic Folsom State Recreation area. Recommended equipment: Bike, bike shoes, bike shorts/shirt, water bottle, helmet, gloves, HR monitor. |
